28 Jul The Worst Thing We Can Tell Ourselves After An Injury!
At Spinal Rehab of North County we see a lot of patients every day! Some are new to our office and find us online while others get referred by a friend or family member. Others have been patients in our office for years. Regardless of how the person comes in, everyone comes in because they are having pain of some kind or another and it is limiting their normal activities.
Here are some of the most common conditions we see:
- Neck pain
- Low back pain
- Mid back pain
- Shoulder pain
- Hip pain
- Knee pain
- TMJ pain
The list could go on. Needless to say we see a lot of people with a lot of different problems.
So what is the ‘worst’ thing most people say after they are injured or having pain?
‘I think this will go away on it’s own.’
I can’t tell you how often I hear that from patients who have been suffering with pain for weeks or even months at a time. They thought that the pain would simply resolve on its own and go away.
Sometimes the pain does go away on its own. Many times it does not. How are you to know which kind of pain you will have?
So don’t wait for the pain to go away! Call us immediately. Get it evaluated to make sure that it isn’t something serious. We will then treat you that day and get you feeling your best as quickly as possible.
One of the things that we see often is that patients that wait to get treated require more treatment to get better. Whereas those that come in immediately after an injury or when the pain begins, gets better more quickly.
So what would you rather have? Pain that goes away quickly and in only a few treatments or wait, and have to have more visits to get it better?
I would suggest the first option. Come in right away.
Rest assured we will not try to sell you on long term care. Our goal is to get you feeling your best as quickly as possible. If that is 1 visit then you will only get 1 visit. We just want you feeling your best as quickly as possible.
If you have been in pain and are needing to get in for treatment call our office now 801-492-9300. We can always see you the same day!
